Vision 700
The Unitronics Vision 700 is a powerful PLC with an advanced HMI featuring a 7″ widescreen display. It has 24 independent PID loops and can be configured to support a variety of I/Os via snap-in and expansion modules. Free software tools are provided and there are 3 built-in communication ports.
Control and Programming Capability
The Vision 700 PLC has up to 24 independent PID control loops making it ideal for applications requiring medium complexity processes.
The unit is supplied with a free suite of software tools designed to reduce development time including VisiLogic software, pre-designed graphs and trends, alarm screens, on-screen keyboard, multi-language support, remote access utilities and more.
There is 2MB of application memory, with an additional 120K of dynamic RAM usable for datalogs and recipe parameters, plus 256K for read-only data. The unit also includes a Micro SD card slot to enable memory expansion for data logging purposes, or to allow backups and cloning.
The unit includes a mini-USB port to allow remote programming.
HMI Features
The Unitronics V700 has a 7 inch colour touch screen (800×480 pixels) set into a flat black panel.
The unit can store up to 1024 user defined screens and has space for 12MB of images and 1MB for fonts, enabling the creation of a visually rich HMI.
Comms Capabilities
The Vision 700 comes with 3 built-in communication ports: Ethernet, mini-USB for programming, and RS232/RS485 (selectable via DIP switches).
The Ethernet port is able to communicate simultaneously with up to 8 other PLCs/devices.
One additional port may also be added – choice of Serial/Profibus or
CANbus.
I/O Options
There is an extensive range of snap-in I/O modules to cater for up to 62 digital and analogue inputs and outputs including temperature, weight and speed. An expansion port allows for up to 1000 additional I/Os.
