KX3

Functions – In common with the KR and KM temperature controllers, the KX is a powerful PID controller with a wide range of control functionality including three PID control options (Oscillating, FAST or Evo-tune) plus ON/OFF control, with symmetric/asymmetric hysteresis, and a choice of single or double action.

Up to 4 set points and 4 ramp/soak segments can be programmed, along with up to 3 alarms and compressor protection time delay.

The unit has 5 built-in timer functions and Evo-green energy saving option.

This device can control temperatures between -200 to +1760°C.

 

HMI – The KX3 controller has two 4 digit LED displays (15.5mm and 7.5mm height) with dynamic 3-colour display selectable for the larger display, 4 operator keys and an IP65 rating.

However, the overall display area is larger, and creates space for a bargraph display. The bargraph can be programmed to show a number of different values such as energy used, time elapsed and time-to-end data. The unit also has 2 additional LEDs showing status of Digital Inputs 1 and 2.

 

Inputs and Outputs – The KX temperature controller has the same input/output capability as the KR and KM. This consists of up to 2 inputs with choice of temperature sensor and digital inputs, including infrared and linear input signals, and up to 4 outputs – choice of relay/SSR, servomotor and digital.

 

Programming – The KX has an identical parameter set to the KR and KM, programmed manually via the operator keys or, downloadable from an A01 key or from a PC with configurator software (supplied free).

 

Communications – On-board RS485 allows master-slave communication/control with up to 30 other units.
